Kedah, March 2026 — In the spirit of Ramadan and the joy of Aidilfitri, XSD International Paper Sdn. Bhd. carried out a series of heartfelt community outreach initiatives, bringing festive warmth and meaningful support to low-income families, orphans, elderly individuals, and students across Kulim and surrounding areas.
Across these efforts, a total of 296 recipients were reached, with the support of approximately 35 dedicated committee members who came together to give back during this meaningful festive season.
Supporting Families During Ramadan
In collaboration with Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia, XSD carried out an Infaq Ramadhan initiative on 27 February 2026, distributing 60 packs of 5kg rice to 60 families in need. This contribution helped ease the burden of daily necessities, allowing families to observe the fasting month with greater comfort and peace of mind.
Raya Goodies Bag Distribution to the Community
As part of the Aidilfitri outreach, a Raya goodies bag distribution to 127 families was carried out in Kampung Padang Mieha on 13 March 2026. Each goodies bag included essential festive staples such as rice, flour, sugar, biscuits, coffee, and rice vermicelli, helping households prepare for the celebrations with greater ease.
More than just food assistance, the distribution reflected the spirit of Raya through sharing, care, and togetherness, ensuring that more families could welcome the festive season with warmth and dignity.
Reaching Out to Orphanages and Welfare Homes
On 16 March 2026, XSD visited BEDAYA (Pertubuhan Bela Didik Anak Yatim), where support was extended to 22 children and teenagers. Contributions included 10 packs of 5kg rice, food packs consisting of snacks and biscuits, as well as hygiene items such as shower gel and toothpaste.
On the same day, XSD also visited Rumah Cahaya Sungai Tengas, where 22 elderly residents received dry food supplies including rice, flour, sugar, biscuits, coffee, and rice vermicelli, along with laundry detergent to support their daily living needs.
The outreach continued on 18 March 2026 at Nur Hidayah Welfare Organization (Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin Nur Hidayah), where 22 recipients comprising orphans and underprivileged individuals were provided with 10 packs of 5kg rice, snack packs, and laundry detergent.
Beyond the contributions, these visits created moments of care and connection through simple conversations, shared smiles, and the presence of compassion. During the festive season, such moments often carry the deepest meaning.
Bringing Festive Cheer to Young Learners
On 17 March 2026, XSD also reached out to 43 students from two kindergartens, namely Tabika KEMAS Kampung Padang Meiha and Tabika KEMAS Taman Desa Aman, through the distribution of snack packs.
Though simple, these gestures brought joy and excitement to the children, adding a festive touch to their school day and making the season even more meaningful.
