XSD USHERS IN THE LUNAR NEW YEAR WITH HEARTFELT DONATIONS TO THE COMMUNITY, SENIOR HOMES & ORPHANAGES

Kedah, January 2025 – In the spirit of togetherness and compassion, XSD International Paper Sdn Bhd carried out a Chinese New Year donation initiative across the districts of Kulim, Lunas, and Sungai Petani. Staying true to our values of giving back to the community, we extended festive support to local families, senior care homes, and orphanages—sharing warmth and joy during this meaningful season.

Spreading Festive Cheer to Local Communities To usher in the Lunar New Year, XSD donated a total of 26 cartons of mandarin oranges to the surau in Kampung Padang Meiha and to families in Kampung Tikam Batu. These festive fruits, symbolic of good fortune and happiness, were shared as a gesture of appreciation and unity with the community—fostering a sense of celebration and togetherness as the new year begins.

Bringing Practical Aid to Senior Homes and Orphanages Understanding the needs of underprivileged groups, XSD also reached out to two charitable homes in Kulim—Rainbow Senior Care Centre and Pertubuhan Bakti Yong Ai—donating a total of 32 Chinese New Year goodie bags. Each package was thoughtfully filled with daily essentials including laundry detergent, body wash, shampoo, toothpaste, dishwashing liquid, festive cookies, and snacks. These items not only ease their daily routines but also bring festive joy and dignity to their celebrations.

Empowering Employees to Serve with Heart A total of 25 dedicated XSD employees volunteered in this meaningful initiative, personally delivering the care packages and festive gifts. Their participation reflects the company’s strong culture of empathy, volunteerism, and commitment to corporate social responsibility.
